1994 Trek 5200 OCVL

These are the bikes that pioneered carbon fiber bikes for the masses. The 5200 was second to top of the line in Trek's line up in 1992. Built by Trek in the USA utilizing carbon lugs, main tubes and tapered stays, the fork was also carbon. The bicycle was fully equipped with Shimano 600 Ultegra STI group riding on Matrix rims. The color of this bike was Ice Green and weighed in at 19.90 lbs. The bike in the pictures is a 56cm Frame. The ride quality is very similar to aluminum Cannondales of the period. The carbon on these bikes is much thicker and sturdier than that of newer road bikes.
