1970's Centurion Sport

"The Centurion story starts in 1969, when Raleigh Industries of America was looking at a Japanese source for the Grand Prix. An order was placed for 2,000 bicycles, but TI-Raleigh in England killed the project, leaving the sales agent, Mitchel Weiner, with 2,000 bicycles painted in Grand Prix colours. He placed Centurion decals on them, sold them for a huge profit and shortly thereafter formed Western State Imports."

This is a 10 speed Centurion sport, from the mid to late 1970's. The bicycle features an alloy SR crank as well as Shimano Tourney center pull brakes, Shimano derailleurs and made of high tensile steel (hi-ten). Coupled with the steel wheels it's a road bike close to 30 lbs. This particular bike appeared to be completely original with exception of possibly newer tires.
